Summary
Amazon has hundreds of flight-ready satellites built and waiting in Florida to join its low-Earth orbit Internet constellation (Project Kuiper), but launch delays from rocket providers have left them stranded. Steve Metayer, Amazon's VP of LEO Production Operations, stated the satellites are sitting in a payload processing facility awaiting trips to orbit, while the company continues manufacturing several satellites per day. Among the large new rockets Amazon was counting on for deployment, only Europe's Ariane 6 (Ariane 64) has delivered, with an upcoming mission scheduled.
