Schroyer brings 29 years of law enforcement experience to the role, NBC News reported, and currently serves as a senior adviser to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin. His background includes stints as a state trooper and service in the Marine Corps, giving him a blend of civilian and military policing credentials.
