Romania orders 100 hospitals offline to contain major healthcare cyber-attack

In February 2024, Romania suffered a major cyber-attack targeting its healthcare system through compromised medical software. The national cyber-security centre (DNSC) under Dan Cimpean made the difficult decision to order over 100 hospitals to disconnect from the internet and re
