Intel launches Xeon 6+ Clearwater Forest with 288 E-cores on 18A process

Intel has launched the Xeon 6+ (Clearwater Forest) processor series, its first data center CPU built with compute tiles on the Intel 18A process. The lineup focuses on high core density using next-gen Darkmont E-cores, with the flagship Xeon 6990E+ featuring 288 cores, 576MB of L3 cache, and 12-channel DDR5-8000 support. Two power variants are available: 450W and 330W. The launch is scheduled for June 1.
