Composer Daniel Pemberton, who typically avoids franchise films, agreed to score the new 'Masters of the Universe' movie only if he could create a Queen and ABBA-inspired theme song. Director Travis Knight wanted exactly that sound. While recording at Abbey Road Studios, Pemberton ran into Queen guitarist Brian May, who enthusiastically supported the project after learning about it. The collaboration brought a pop rock sound to the iconic franchise's music.
