London-based design studio Akasaki & Vanhuyse created a limited edition lamp called WA using 1,400 decommissioned resin passenger handles from Tokyo's retired Tokyu 8500 trains. The minimalist ring-shaped lamp repurposes materials that are difficult to recycle, with only 150 units produced from the train parts that were retired in 2023.
