Summary

YouTube is making its AI labels more visible on photorealistic AI-generated or meaningfully AI-altered content. Instead of hiding labels in the description, they will now appear directly below or overlaid on the video. YouTube will also auto-label content where it detects significant photorealistic AI use, bringing its approach roughly in line with TikTok. However, implementation concerns remain, as YouTube previously failed to label half of the videos generated with Google's own AI tools.
