Square Enix has confirmed that Tyler Hoechlin will not reprise his role as the voice of Sephiroth in the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Revelation. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed during an interview with Maximillian Dood that Hoechlin was unavailable for the third installment, following his previous performances in Remake, Rebirth, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion. A new voice actor will be taking over the iconic antagonist role.
