Summary
British actress Miriam Margolyes is set to receive the Raindance Icon Award at the Raindance Film Festival in London (June 17-26). She will be honored at the opening gala on June 17 after the UK premiere of Michel Parandi's "April X." The festival is also awarding Icon Awards to Troma Entertainment co-founder Lloyd Kaufman and a posthumous award to rock legend Eddie Cochran. Additionally, Margolyes has plans to turn Lee Knight's Oscar-nominated short film 'A Friend of Dorothy' into a feature film.
