Matthew Perry's Assistant Sentenced to 41 Months for Ketamine-Related Death

Matthew Perry's live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison for his role in the actor's fatal ketamine overdose, Rolling Stone reported. Iwamasa pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine resulting in death, and prosecutors recommended a harsher penalty than the six months he requested, according to the outlet. Variety noted that Iwamasa injected Perry with at least three shots of ketamine, including the fatal dose, and left him alone in his backyard jacuzzi. Deadline added that Iwamasa, who had been Perry's friend since 1992, is the fifth and final defendant sentenced in the case.
