An Austrian man, identified as Beran A. under local privacy rules, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for plotting a jihadist attack on Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in Vienna in August 2024. Variety reported that the 21-year-old pleaded guilty in April and faced charges including terrorist offenses and membership in a terrorist organization. Prosecutors alleged he pledged allegiance to ISIS, attempted to purchase weapons, and had bomb-making materials in his apartment, according to Deadline. The plot was discovered before it could be carried out, leading to the cancellation of three scheduled tour dates, Rolling Stone noted.
