KPMG retracts AI report after organizations dispute false claims linked to AI hallucinations

Summary

KPMG published a report titled "Redefining excellence in the age of agentic AI" in October 2025, which was later pulled after multiple organizations (including UBS, the UK's NHS, Swiss Federal Railways, and Transport for London) disputed the report's claims about their AI usage. Research group GPTZero identified numerous inaccuracies in the report, attributing them to AI hallucinations. The irony is that KPMG, a professional services firm, appears to have used AI to help write a report about AI, and the AI-generated content proved unreliable.
