Reilly revealed on Ted Danson's podcast that he tried to persuade Leonardo DiCaprio to turn down the role in James Cameron's *Titanic* to instead star in Paul Thomas Anderson's *Boogie Nights*, Variety and Deadline reported. Reilly argued that *Titanic* was "about a boat that sinks" and that "no one's going to give a shit about who's on the boat," according to Deadline.
