J McClendon, bandleader of the emo band Glass Beach, has given her first interview about the end of Glass Beach and the launch of her new musical project, You Are An Angel. After releasing two acclaimed albums with Glass Beach (The First Glass Beach Album in 2019 and Plastic Death in 2024), McClendon has quietly moved on to a new solo endeavor. She had already been releasing solo material as Casio Dad, and earlier this year released her debut album under the You Are An Angel moniker, titled It's Fine To Dream.
