The White House imposed export controls on Anthropic's Mythos AI model over suspicions that a China-linked group had accessed it, according to a Semafor report cited by The Verge. The Trump administration directed Anthropic to limit access to both Mythos and its consumer version Fable 5 to US citizens only, which would have barred even Anthropic's foreign national employees from using the models, bsky reported.
