Summary

Psych-folk cult artist Ed Askew's posthumous album "The Final Painting" has been announced, set for release on Drag City this summer. The album, recorded before his death, features contributions from Bill Callahan, William Tyler, Ryan Jewell, Eve Searls, and Sharon Van Etten. Produced by Jerry David DeCicca (who also produced Askew's 2013 comeback), the recordings were captured at Askew's home and fleshed out in Nashville sessions. The lead single "Gray Air-o-Plane" featuring Sharon Van Etten is available now.
