Crackling crust, pillowy middle. The kind of bagel that earns a second cup of coffee.
Summary
BMW is introducing humanoid robots (made by Hexagon Robotics) for car manufacturing in Europe for the first time. Two robots, called Aeon, are planned to work in production at the Leipzig factory starting summer, currently in test deployment. The robots can work for three hours before needing a battery swap. Michael Nikolaides, head of process management and digitalisation at BMW, states this represents the future of automotive production. The move builds on similar projects in the US and marks a shift from traditional robot arms to human-shaped robots for manufacturing.
